Checklist prior to attendance
- Are the Air Filters clean and free of obstruction?
- Is the Circuit Breaker switched on? (Located in Meter Box). Is the Isolator switched on? (Located at the Outdoor Unit)
- Try re-setting the equipment at the Circuit Breaker, leaving it off for 15 minutes
- Wait 15 Minutes for the system to start up correctly, especially in the colder winter mornings
- Do the batteries require replacement?
- If you’re Split A/C is dripping water, what temperature is the unit set to? Try turning the temperature up slightly to rule out condensation forming on the Indoor Coil
Owner’s Responsibility within the Warranty Period
- Cleaning of the Air Filters (Recommended a minimum of every 3 months, dependant on use)
- Operating and Maintaining the equipment in accordance with the operating instructions
- Replacement of Batteries
- Ensuring the Outdoor unit has nothing obstructing air flow
- Ensuring condensate drain is kept clear and clean (Arranging Professional Servicing Recommended a minimum of every 12 months, dependant on use)
- Application of additional Corrosion protection if the equipment is installed in a corrosive environment (sea air, industrial pollution)
- Is able to provide a Proof of Purchase (Tax Invoice/Receipt) on the request of any Warranty works to be completed
What is not covered under Manufacturer’s Warranty (See Manufacturer’s Warranty Card for Term of cover)
- Faults outside the Manufacture Warranty Term
- Faults caused from a lack of items listed as per the Owners Responsibility
- Costs related to gaining access when equipment is installed in restricted/unsafe locations (ie. Higher than 2.4m)
- Faults caused by vermin, storm, flood, fire, earthquake, negligence, misuse, electrical surges, Circuit Breaker of Isolator being switched off or other foreign matter entering the unit (leaves/dirt etc.)
- Deterioration or damage caused by normal weathering or corrosive environments
- Any faults occurring after a re-installation to any location other than the original location
- Repairs for cosmetic or physical damage occurring after installation
What is not covered under Installation Warranty (2 yrs)
- Faults caused from a lack of following items listed as per the Owners Responsibility
- Lightning or power surge that damages electrical components
- Incorrect use of equipment (ie. Wrong settings selected, temperature set too low causing condensate drips)
- Faults somewhat related to Installation outside of the 2 Year Installation Warranty Period (ie. Gas leak located in pipe work or joins)
Drain Pump Warranty (If Installed on Unit)
Please note Drain Pumps are not an item covered under Manufacture’s Warranty or Installers Warranty. If a Drain Pump is installed, Servicing of your Air Conditioner is required every 6 months to ensure the Drain Pump is correctly maintained. In the case your Drain Pump fails within your first 2 years, Valley Air Conditioning will supply you with a new Drain Pump at no cost. Unfortunately we will not be able to absorb the Labour costs associated with the change-over of your Drain Pump. These costs will be charged to the Client according to current hourly rates
