Supply and Install New Fujitsu Air Conditioner
The Elermore Vale Project: The tenant of this home had been reporting faults in the current air conditioning system for a few months. The split system had been serviceable for over 20 years. However, with technological advances air conditioners have become more efficient when heating or cooling.
Project Details
- Client – Residential
- Property Type – Residential brick veneer house
- Location – Elermore Vale, NSW
- Task – Decommission and remove the current Mitsubishi air conditioner and replace it with a new Fujitsu Comfort Range split system air conditioner
The Solution
We agreed that the present AC system was getting close to its use-by date and set up a time to evaluate it. Obtaining replacement components for older air conditioning systems is the primary issue. In the end, we recommended a completely new system that would operate more efficiently in order to save money.
The air conditioner was to be used in the bedroom. This was a standard sized room and we chose a new Fujitsu split system that has a cooling capacity of 6.0 kW and a heating capacity of 6.5 kW.
Removing the old air conditioner and then Installing the new air conditioner
When replacing air conditioner systems the electrical power has to be cut before any work begins. Once the power was turned off we removed the indoor air conditioning unit first. Using the existing wiring we attached the new wiring and then pulled the old wiring out. This enabled us to replace all the wiring without having to replace cable protectors that were still in good condition.
We used the same electrical technique when we removed and replaced the outdoor A/C unit.
When we finished decommissioning the indoor and outdoor units they were taken back to our workshop where we stripped them down for parts.
Electrical Fitting Elermore Vale
Any project we manage that involves regulating electricity is attended by one of our certified electricians. This includes performing all electrical wiring tasks including connecting to the power board. Before the indoor and outdoor air conditioning units are powered on the electrician runs a simulation test that will reveal any faults. Once the tests are clear the A/C units are switched on.
