Supply and Install New Fujitsu Split System Air Conditioner
The Boolaroo Project: The residential client contacted our office indicating that the Panasonic air conditioner that had serviced them for over 20 years was starting to have multiple issues and it was time to replace the system.
Project Details
- Client – Residential
- Property Type – Single-storey residential brick veneer house
- Location – Boolaroo, NSW
- Task – Decommission and remove the current Panasonic air conditioner and replace it with a new Fujitsu split system air conditioner
The Solution
We arranged a time to inspect the aircon system and agreed that the current AC system was nearing its use-by date. The main problem with older air conditioning systems is finding replacement parts. Ultimately to save money we suggested a brand new system that would be more efficient to run.
The dining room and living room were the areas that needed to be heated or cooled. We chose a new Fujitsu split system that has a cooling capacity of 7.1 kW and a heating capacity of 8.0 kW.
Removing the old air conditioner and then Installing the new air conditioner
The first job was to cut all power and decommission the indoor and outdoor units. We then removed the outdoor unit and the indoor unit from its wall. Then we removed all the cables and wiring. Later on, we will strip down both units and store their parts.
The outdoor unit went where the previous unit had been sitting and we removed the indoor unit and put the new unit in its place.
Electrical Fitting Boolaroo
Before we put the units in their position we ran all the wiring from the units to the power board. These electrical wires are housed in protective covers. We employ certified electricians to perform all electrical wiring tasks including connecting to the power board. Before the air conditioner was operated, our electrician tested the connections to make sure there were no faults.
